Turnbuckles are used for adjusting the tension of lengths of ropes, cables, tie rods and other tensioning systems. It comes in a variety of ends that could be the same or a combination of different ends. Those ends thread into a body which is left hand and right hand. The tension can be adjusted by rotating the body which will draw the ends into the body.
According to A.S.T.M. F 1145. Hot galvanized, drop forged. Bodies normalized; end fittings quenched and tempered.
