Description:

Double-braided polyester is considered the strongest rope construction, with a braided inner core and outer jacket. This design is torque-free, resists kinking, and can be easily spliced. Polyester also provides excellent abrasion resistance and UV protection. Our premium ropes are soft, flexible, and easy to handle, while resistant to rot, mildew, marine growth, chemicals, and petroleum products.

Polyester vs. Nylon:
Polyester has better abrasion and UV resistance than nylon, as well as significantly less elasticity. If you need a low-stretch, durable rope, polyester is the superior choice. Our polyester rope has a melting point around 490°F and starts losing strength above 240°F.

Nylon is slightly stronger but more elastic. This can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on your application. For high-stretch applications, double-braid nylon may be preferable over this polyester option.
